You want to learn how to Master a non-conventional delicious middle eastern treat. Maamoul are small shortbread cookies traditionally filled with dates, pistachios or walnuts popular all over Levantine cuisine, prepared to receive guests during the holiday seasons for Eid, Christmas or Easter.

About the event
Ma'amoul is an ancient Arab filled pastry or cookie made with dates, walnuts. pistachios and occasionally with almonds or figs. They may be in the shape of balls, domed or flattened cookies.Â
They can either be decorated by hand or be made in special wooden moulds.Â
In this workshop you will learn how to prepare the 3 traditiional fillings, (dates, walnuts and pistachios) and the ma'amoul dough tipically prepared with Semolina flour and clarified butter.
Ma'amoul are usually prepared few days before Christmas, Easter, or Eid, then stored to be served with Arabic coffee and chocolate to guests who come during the holiday.
Shaping Ma'moul requires time, patience & dedication, but the effort is worthed the timing.
